Rainy Saturday

The forecast says, “1.47 inches of rain coming your way” which I find amusing. It’s so specific a number. It’s still sunny outside currently, but if you look at the expanded radar, it’s clearly on it’s way. Which is good because we’re in an “extreme drought” situation here in the Tampa Bay Area. (And indeed, much of Florida.)

Haven’t really had much going on after Tuesday’s trip to Inverness which is why there’s been a lack of entries on the blog. Just nothing really to say. Plus, I had a migraine Wednesday and another Thursday night so I just haven’t felt like sitting at the pc to write.

It’s 24 days, 12 hours and counting until my 35th birthday on May 16th. 35, sheesh. I’m heading into a new category now. Anytime you have to pick your age, it’s always 18-34 and then 35-44 and such. So now I’ll be in that group. Sad. *chuckles*

But, yeah…again not much to really say right now but I felt bad about the days of intermittent twitter reposts so I thought I should at least attempt to write something. Now that I have, I send you back on your way to enjoy your weekend.

Hey hey, ok, my friends birthday is coming up and I'd FINALLY like to get that birdsnest necklace from you!!

I need 3 pearls in the nest please,

April - Diamond
September - Sapphire
October - Pink Tourmaline

I also need it on a sterling silver chain (willing to pay more) and I need it shipped direct to the girl whos birthday it is (so I'd appreciate if it was put into a little box of some kind (again willing to pay a little more) and don't want a 'receipt' in the box.

Let me know how much this would cost total!

Sure thing! The bird nests are $25 and I'll look this afternoon for a sterling chain for you. (The chain I have on hand are all silver plated.) I'll let you know the total and I can send over a PayPal invoice once we finalize.

Ok, so...I looked locally and it seems like it's going to be more to buy it in person. Actual cost for a chain would be about $27 if I get it here. Now, depending on how quickly you need it to go out, I can order a nice finished sterling (not plated) chain online for about $10-18 total actual cost.

Just really depends on your time constraints. Chain prices are actual cost since I'm not actually making them or anything, just getting a ready-made .925 sterling one for you. Let me know what you like!

hmmm it's her birthday in 5 days but it doesn't need to arrive RIGHT on her birthday. Though looking at those links, I think the chains you use on them look nicer, it's so hard to tell! LOL! maybe just the birds nest in a wee box? so she could get her own chain? I'm torn!

It's definitely a little hard to tell when it comes to online since it can be deceiving. There are more expensive chains but I didn't know how much you wanted to spend on just a chain, you know?


Now, this one is $18 and 2.5mm thick which is a nice, substantial chain. It's also textured; one link smooth, the next textured for a neat detail look. That looks like a nice one. Or, this one which is a Figaro and the same price is 3.5mm so not dainty. That looks like a good buy actually.

It's really up to you! I'm happy to do just the pendant or get a chain for you as well - whatever you like. If you do a chain with it, I'll string it on it and wrap it so when she gets it, she'll have it ready to wear.

Very similar just pure sterling instead of plated.
